The Board of Certified Safety Professionals recognizes CSU degrees for both the CSP application and for credit towards recertification in the Continuance of Certification program.

Oakland University

The Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program at Oakland University is multi-disciplinary in nature. The program provides students with relevant exposure to basic sciences and behavioral science subjects as well as a thorough introduction to industrial hygiene and occupational safety concepts. A one-semester internship in the senior year of the program provides students with first-hand field experience in the practice of occupational safety and health. Internship placements are coordinated through the program director. Graduates of the program will find employment opportunities within industrial firms; insurance companies; construction companies; professional associations; local, state, and federal government; labor organizations; and many other occupational areas. Oakland’s proximity to many of the nation’s leading corporations provides a wealth of opportunities throughout the OSH curriculum, particularly for the internship and job placements.

University of Southern Florida (USF)

USF offers an online Master of Public Health degree. It will provide you with a strong foundation to advance your careers in occupational safety and health.

This program is intended to appeal to experienced working professionals anywhere in the world who seek to broaden their understanding of the interrelatedness in the complex regional, national, and global challenges related to Health, Safety, and the Environment. The impact of health, safety and the environment topics are also addressed for developed and less developed countries. Students will have the opportunity to develop a major emphasis in an area of their choice.
